CELTIC are involved in a five way battle for the signature of Nigerian starlet Rabiu Ibrahim – "Golden Eaglet" – who has been labelled the new Jay-Jay Okocha.

Rabiu Ibrahim, the "Golden Eaglet" mid-fielder, is wanted by two top clubs in Spain and one in both Italy and Ukraine but Parkhead bosses hope to convince him his future lies with Celtic in Scotland before the January transfer window closes.
Currently at Sporting Lisbon after shining in the FIFA Under 17 World Cup Championships in Korea the teenager whose full name is Rabiu Ibrahim has refused to sign an extended deal after new coach Carlos Carvahal wanted to send him out on loan.

Rabiu's agent Bertrand Ekenwa says the 18 year old international prefers to leave permanently for next to nothing in the summer and already has clubs queuing up for his services.

" We have offers from Scottish club Celtic who are very keen on him as well as interest from leading clubs throughout Europe so we will not be rushed into anything " he said.

" The kid is a very talented player with all the potential to be a world superstar."

Rabiu who is only 5ft 5in tall was likened to former Paris St Germain, Bolton and Hull mid-fielder Okocha who is a national hero in Nigeria after his performances for his country's youth teams since he was just 16.

Known for his impudent trickery, ball juggling and non-chalant style Rabiu says he is prepared to play anywhere to become " the best player in the world !"

Absolutely not, him and Aiden will make an amazing duo, they both have ambition and talent. We can snap him up for free on a bosman during the summer or pay £1/2 to get him now.

This guy is something special ... hopefully he will see that by going to a huge spanish or english side his talent will rot and therefore will come to celtic to let his skills develop and move on to become one of the worlds best players

Looks like a very good prospect, not quite messi level but certainly could live up to someone like Martins.

I'll get the low down on this guy. My local supermarket manager is Sporting mad! Benfica are the Rankers of Portugal. Refs, politics everything is for them, almost sounds worse than royalty ass lickin scotland.
