ah well we can't agree on everything, liek poor Wee Fergus, he was basically hounded out of town for saving the club the thanks were thin on the ground mainly as a result of how he was portrayed by hun media but some fans didn't think he spent enough on the team.....same thing for me, just some people can't appreciate what you've got till its gone.

no coz fergie brought us fae the brink lawell could push the boat out a little he doesnt need to go mad mental i started a thread few months ago asked people how much we would need to spend in the window to win the league the amounts were very modest ranged from from  3mill to 10 mill now 1 person said 10 mill mostly everyone stuck around 4 u tellin me we couldnt achieve this especially if our books are so healthy?  i thinks its an outcry tbh there has to be a balance money spent on the team to money going to the club right now and considerable years its not went on the team. and am pissed about it. a balance if we need to cut corners so much then why doesnt mr lawell take a reduction on his bonus?

aye but financial health is critical here in Scotland, Lawell does a terrific job......it's not about books being healthy it's about surviving with their income, projecting profit/spend and loss/sell. We sold McGeady cause Neil said "we have Forrest" and so we got ten million and bought a NUMBER of players.....and ok IF we had got Steven Feltcher but rfc were in the middle of diddling everybody.
They have punishment to tqke from SFA SPL UEFA and HMRC and we didn't by Fletcher? I know where I would want to be right now

and on balancing books - Peter Lawell is told to manage finances, he goes into manageable debt and then if he gets 10 milland he needs 2-3 to clear that debt so what? 7 million for players transfers and wages, no brainer.
And until the EPL goes tits up this is where we are.

If you had done your job WELL, and hit your targets are you not entitled to your bonus.pay rise? the players are....

in my eyes its about time the team had a wee share of the spoils dont ya think?

we are 500k in debt 4 mill to gain 15 mill is a no brainer

and yet we have still purchased
Wanyama, Kayal, Ledley, Mattjhews, Izzi, Commons, Forster (hopefully), Mulgrew, Maj (I know), Wilson K, new guy Swede name escapes and numerous others, why? because Lawell negotiates good transfer fees reasonable wages and balances everything!
Neil says try and get him Lawell says either "we can do this one" or "no too rich" and Neil says "NEXT" it is working really really well for me.
I would love a 5-6 million pound striker of course I would but remember Larsson cost what 750,000 and lets say he had been bought last year was starting to show up on the score sheet or even if he was being kept out by "Hoops and Stoker" (i know fantasy) would you still be clamouring for a big price player

what is gone is gone, live the now and the now is gonna be fuckin epic.

its not the big price player that am after its comittmint from the board to do something when the chips are down instead of just lettin the manager take the flak

i will never forgive them for that i stood behind lenny when loads where callin for his head i could see this team just needed time and always said lenny needed 1 more season after this however u cant honestly tell me we cant afford a 4mill player when we only 500k in debt sure its a gamble but hey so is playing a defence full of bosmans , loanees, and a loanee goalkeeper

we as supporters fork out loads of cash in this difficult climate u speak of and we arent seeing it being reinvested in the team thats not right. its feckin daylight robbery mate im not saying or expect them to spend 50 mill we are talkin 4-6 mill in 1 season for fuk sake

your comin from one direction me another......let's leave it there, well almost....

two questions though, forget how you feel about rfc and cfc and then ask yourself, as a neutral, who would you rather be and have running your club right now.....a rager or a celt....no brainer right?

so who do we thank for that?

Well lads I think Lawell has done a great job getting our finances so good especially in Scotland where the money is getting less ever year, I know he can come across like a tool but he is in to manage money and he is doing that very well, but I think we should invest a little in the team in January to insure the title because I think failing to do this in past seasons has cost us, but I can't see this happening. I know I doesn't make sense but we wont be getting much money for players until we win a title or two and get into the Champions League because the times that are in it you can't gamble and I for one would rather play it safe buying young cheap players letting them develop and winning the league that way, at least we know we'll have a club to support no matter what. Fact is we are spending little but being smart and getting better and better little by little and the other crowd are getting worse and worse all because they splash out to much and its always players that are past it or only have one or two years left. Basically its a matter of being "faithful through and through" and wait a little while until we are once again officially the best in Scotland.

Joe Chalmers the Twardzik twins Paul George young McGeouch Tony Watt Jackson Irvine james Keatings James Alabi & Atajic all from the development squad have been knocking hard on the 1st team squad door, i see this as the way forward for our club in the future.

The days of paying over 3M for ANY player has gone, we dont just dont opperate that way now.

And if it had'nt been for the 1.5M donation from the wee wizard Fergus, none of these names would we recognise.

For a quick example re: have a read at the thread on how most thought our Europa run would affect the squad/players, most said  it was a waste of time competing in it.................well shock and horror..........we did compete and our players came out wiser.

And importantly gained European football experiance that you could'nt buy in the SPL.

Loan signings have for me at least, disrupted our dressing room in the past as we most normally break our wage structure to bring the "Auld-Heads" in for 6 months.

Only my opinion, but thats where i see our future.

Our future is in our developing youth, and hopefully the conveyor belt does'nt dry up at Lennoxtown, and we can promote some of our kids to the full squad for years to come.

i understand this marm and i agree however we do need seasoned pros to balance the ship otherwise with young players comes inconsistancy.

this rumour is surely a joke. they already have a Korean in their Squad!!!

to replace Gibson, another big ridiculous joke who can do nothing but blast the ball wide or high from about 40 yards out
